Creating a Pencil Sketch Photo With Photoshop - The effect of a sketch on a photo does have a special value. If you want to make a photo sketch effect you can use Photoshop to try. Create a Photo Sketch With Photoshop

1. The first step, please open the Photoshop application and then enter the photo that was prepared earlier.

2. Move to the menu bar and click Image > Adjustment > Desaturate. Or you can press SHIFT+CTRL+U on the keyboard. Then the photo will change color to black and white.

3. Duplicate the photo layer by pressing CTRL+J on the keyboard. Or right click on the Backround layer and select Duplicate Layer

4. Next, reverse the color of the duplicated photo by going to the menu bar and selecting Image > Adjustment > Invert. Or press CTRL+I on the keyboard. Then the photo will be colored like a negative color as in the image below.

5. Change the photo mode that changes color, from Normal mode to Color Dodge. Then the photo will look just a background image only.

6. Then go to the menu bar again and select Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur and set the radius value. Please set it according to your own settings. I gave it a radius of about 6.3 pixels. When finished click OK.
