The Steps

1. Create a document by pressing CTRL+N on the keyboard.  Set the size to 900 x 600 pixels with a resolution of 300

2. Click the Gradient Tool (G) to make it black and white.  The trick is left click and hold and then drag the line from left to right.

3. Go to the menu bar and click Filter > Render > Different Cloud.  So the background that was only black and white has now changed to a slightly cloudy effect.

4. Then press CTRL+I on the keyboard to invert the color position.  Then press CTRL + L on the keyboard to adjust the color composition level.  Please slide it according to the right settings.

5. To add the color of the lightning please press CTRL + U on the keyboard.  Set the color so that it is similar to the color of lightning.
